Twosome

Moments like these are to be cherished.

The 6-year-old has been reading to his little brother regularly now. Really sweet to see them sitting side by side and chuckling at a funny story together.

Always together. Whatever they do.

They are next to each other when they play Lego or draw.

They laugh at jokes together.

They are the best partners at the imaginative games they invent. When they are not cooperatively fighting off enemies such as monsters or dinosaurs, they would be supporting each other in the creation of their peace place. Almost everyday, one of them can be heard saying '..... we are a team..... '.

These four words are such music to my ears.

And almost everyday, they work as a team to fend off Mummy when she wants them to do things that interfere with their wishes, such as taking a shower or eating dinner. :>

Even at dinner table, they tease each other under the table. With tickling toes and creepy fingers.

Growing up together. The most precious memories of childhood.

That's really sweet! My kids fight alot in between those loving moments. Do yours?

Oh of course mine have their fair share of disagreements too, but not physical fights. Usually they were started because both wanted the same Lego pieces to build their special creations. But we try to seize them as teachable moments to guide them in using words to negotiate, persuade each other, empathize with the other etc..

Overall though, they do have a lot of cooperative times when they love each other to bits. :>

LOL, those are indeed lovely moments that all mommies should treasure! As my kids are growing older, their relationship are getting closer and they are more fond to imitate each other!^-^

Have a nice day!

Wow... That is so sweet. You really have wonderful kids! Do you let them watch tv or educational programs since young?

Hi Alice, yours are the same, aren't they?

I think we must count my blessings that our kids have close relationship, but I think we must still constantly encourage them to love each other and remain close.

At this age, maybe it is easier, but once they spend more time in school and away from home, things may not be the same.

Hi Irene, thanks.

My boys don't watch that many TV programmes actually. Maybe under 2 hours of the Okto channel in a month. We also don't subscribe to any of the cartoon channels.

As for educational programs, it depends on your definition. We prefer documentaries to those commercialized educational programmes aimed at preschoolers.

But we do own an assortment of family movies and selected cartoons which the boys enjoy and these are generally the ones that they choose to watch.
